Foundation for Access to Rights – FAR is looking for a digital community liaison officer with Arabic 

INFORMATION ABOUT FAR

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent; 
• Knowledge of the working environment and refugee communities in Bulgaria; 
• Solid communication skills (within the Arabic communities’ context); 
• Excellent writing skills; 
• Excellent social media and internet skills; 
• Fluent in Arabic and Bulgarian or English.
• Experience in reaching out to local Arabic-speaking communities is an advantage;
• Experience in digital engagement with the Arabic-speaking community in Bulgaria is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the refugeelight.bg platform is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. Two-Way Digital Communication: 

• Responsible for the Live chat and Help desk two-way communication with refugees and stateless persons in Arabic on the Refugeelight.Bg platform;
• Reaches out digitally to the Arabic-speaking refugee and migrant communities by disseminating credible information in the social media channels moderated by FAR (in Facebook, Tik Tok and Telegram);
• Provides trustworthy information on legal and social inclusion topics, tailored to individual queries and needs.
• Refers beneficiaries to appropriate services or the "Request Assistance" online tool for further support.
• Refers beneficiaries to the respective Service providers available on Refugeelight.bg when needs are identified;
• Translates from and to Arabic during digital legal consultations via the Request assistance digital tool;

2. Content Translation and Platform Support:

• Translates articles, informational content (including the services map), and tools for the Refugeelight.bg and Statelessness.bg platforms into Arabic.
• Ensures the accuracy and cultural appropriateness of translated materials to maintain accessibility for diverse populations.

3. Feedback Mechanisms:

• Relays insights and feedback from refugee and stateless communities to improve project design and services.
• Monitors and addresses misinformation.
• Collaborates with the senior editor of the platform to identify needs for platform content, focusing on creating new articles, enhancing services maps, and reflecting current social service availability.

4. Community Engagement and Interpretation Support

• Facilitates on-site legal consultations and information sessions by providing interpretation services in Arabic;
• Supports refugees and stateless persons in understanding legal processes by interpreting in Arabic accurately and empathetically during face-to-face meetings in Sofia.

Terms and conditions of employment – labour contract with a commitment corresponding to part-time work (5 hours). Opportunity to increase the workload to full-time employment via additional project tasks.

Basic remuneration – 1506 BGN gross
